Apple TV Network: Could be coming soon!

“For years we have been waiting on Apple launching their own TV network. And now, it may be happening…”

Why now?

It is impossible to create a successful TV if you don’t have ‘TV programming’: You can’t connect your TV to cable or satellite networks unless you have the right programming (think of it as software). The only way to get this programming is to include a socket for cable/ satellite companies to plug into. This is why your TV right now has its bulky, ugly, ridiculous, disaster of a… you get the idea.

A Monopoly

Cable and satellite companies for years have cornered the market. This has meant we have all been stuck with outdated technology due to their monopoly position. Now, many can accuse Apple itself of creating just that, a monopoly; however at least there is opportunity for other competitors. Then again, that’s like saying everyone has a chance against Muhammad Ali  while forgetting that the chances are slimmer than me learning to play football!

A Monopoly

Cable and satellite companies for years have cornered the market. This has meant we have all been stuck with outdated technology due to their monopoly position. Then again, that’s like saying everyone has a chance against Muhammad Ali  while forgetting that the chances are slimmer than me learning to play football!

The new rule

US Federal Communications Commission Chairman Tom Wheeler has ‘proposed’ a new rule which would require cable and broadcasting networks to open their programming to any firm which wants to purchase. This means everyone has the opportunity to become a TV provider! Yeap, even you.

Apple TV

This new rule means that Apple can now create an internet TV package. No bulky equipment or satellite dish, no more call centre disasters (we all know what these companies are like). Just Apple, their overly friendly staff and an internet connection.

The king is dead. Long live the king.

This is going to have HUGE effects on your TV viewing experience. Competition between tech companies means that the quality of all the packages will improve, both Visual and content. Your other devices such as tablets will sync perfectly, certainly more than they do now. Call centre staff as mentioned will be linked to customer service levels of the 21st Century. There will be no more waiting time for your engineer, and problems will, on most occasions, be dealt with over the phone just like with your computer. Goodbye installation fees!!!

Our thoughts

‘Smart’ is a word applied to our current age. We want everything to start with this word: Phones, TVs, even cities! The driver for Smartness is the goal of making technology seamless. The more our devices are integrated through the internet, the more fluidly everything else works. One of humanity’s aspirations goals is to move forward, improve and develop. It is certainly far-fetched to describe existing broadcasting networks as fully developed to a ‘Smart’ level, but this trend  is saying ‘nothing gets left behind’. Their selfish hold on the market should stand no more. If there is one thing Apple has, it’s style and I cannot wait to see what’s coming with Apple TV.
