It’s HERE! Moto 360 Smartwatch UK Debut: Price of £200 for the Market’s most stylish Smartwatch

“It’s round, tasteful, elegant and, most importantly, appears natural”.

We have been awaiting the release of the most stylish smartwatch on the market for some time. That time is finally here. And for those of us who are fashion enthusiasts, there is finally a smartwatch that doesn’t make you look like a 50 year old father trying to keep up with the times. It’s round, tasteful, elegant and, most importantly, appears natural.

The price

The Moto 360 has a price tag of £199.00. The price is reasonable. Not the most expensive, nor is it the cheapest. But when it comes to our tech, cheap isn’t always a good sign! The spec will be explained slightly further down, detailing why £199.99 is value for money. Here are the other top performing smartwatches available for price comparison:

– Samsung Gear 2 £249.99

– Sony SW2 £109.99

– Apple Watch £???

Purchase Deal

Most likely due to the postponed release, Motorola have announced that all UK customers who purchase within a fixed timeline will receive a discount on the Moto X smartphone totalling £60.00. Not bad! Then again, it’s not really that great an apology for being late, considering it’s still an up-sell. Thanks but no thanks Motorola! Please note, there’s also a catch. No buyer can purchase any more than two of these babies within the deal.

The Watch

The Moto 360 runs the all new Android Wear operating system. It’s made of metal, and has multiple strap options. The face is 1.56-inches, LCD, and has a touchscreen which is scratch proof Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The resolution stands at 320 x 290 pixels.

The device has an impressive 4GB of storage and 512 MB of RAM. Yes, that’s greater than your laptop from 12 years ago.

It’s dust and water-resistant. However, as we all know by now, water-resistant is certainly not water proof. Don’t throw 200 quid in your shower!

Our Thoughts

It looks the best. For those who aren’t tech obsessive, this watch hits all the right spots. I personally will be holding back for the release of the Apple Watch, but that’s just because of my Apple Marketing Syndrome (AMS). If I wasn’t roped into the ‘Apple everything’ the Moto 360 is 100% where my money would be going. Thank goodness there’s a tech product designer with a good taste for watches!
